While everyone sleeps, some people sleep less than others. Of course some of those can still function with less sleep, but most of the world needs more sleep than what they’re getting.

SPEND AT LEAST 15 MINUTES IN THE SUN
Ideally in the morning when you first wake up. But overall, spending a good 15 minutes soaking up sunshine will help you in sleeping better. Why is that?
Well, it has something to do with our internal clock. It runs on a 24-hour schedule and it functions the best when we have a consistent pattern of light and dark.
Losing weight is a tough task for anybody, and this is the reason why most of us have been tempted to try out that fancy slim sauna belt at least once in our lives! Well, we all know that following ‘have a great workout and eat healthy’ mantra works, but reducing that stubborn layer of fat from our body still takes a lot of time and effort.
But what if we tell you that there’s a “magic trick” that would help ease the process quite a bit? And, what if we told you that the magic trick isn’t some fancy ritual, but actually drinking some really nice drinks that boost the weight loss process?
In this article, we have compiled a list of top 15 drinks that aid the weight loss process by boosting your metabolic rate, improving digestion and ensuring you are full of energy throughout the day. The key is to ensure that you carry out the workouts and eat healthy diets, and add these drinks as a catalyst for it to make a difference. Without any more delay, let’s check out the list now!
METABOLISM BOOSTING PINEAPPLE DRINK
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 cup of pineapple
- a pinch of black salt for taste
1. Toss the pineapple slices into a blender and blend it.
2. Now pour the blended part into a glass.
3. Add the cinnamon powder along with the lime juice and add the black salt on top.
4. Stir well. Your drink is ready to be served!
Health benefits: Pineapple is a fruit that is very rich in bromelain, which helps in not only cutting down the fat layers, but also boosts digestion and helps cleanse the blood. On the other hand, the cinnamon powder helps in lowering your blood glucose levels that can add as fat later, and also improves your heart functions – apart from suppressing the appetite to ensure minimum eating. The role of lime in this drink is to add vitamin C to your diet, which helps in boosting your immunity, as well as a good antioxidant and helps weight loss.
Ask us for food combinations that make 100% sense, and we’ll reel of combos like burgers and fries, bacon and eggs and yogurt with fries. Some may seem a bit beyond the norm, but once you try them, you appreciate the taste and general greatness. For example, one might scratch their head at the idea of putting peanut butter and jelly together, or meat and fruit, or even waffles together with fried chicken. Others though, we truly think were thought up by a complete lunatic.
Just thinking about these combinations makes us scratch our heads in question; how were they even discovered? Who would think it is okay to try them? Why were they even invented in the first place? And in the name all that is good- why are they so popular? It goes against every sense and logic that pasts and ketchup be allowed to even come into contact; or the combination of marshmallows and a hot dog, or even more disgusting, soy sauce on ice cream. This is real life though, and these combinations do exist- because there is little logic or sense in the world.
PICKLES AND CHOCOLATE
Bustle actually claims that chocolate acting as a dip for pickles is not such a new concept. We are still unsure what ancient tradition introduced this disgusting practice, but we do know whoever did could have had some sense talked into them at the time. Delish writer, Lena Abrahams, actually popularised the trend of chocolate-covered pickles in 2017 when she wrote a piece on the internet about the combo. Since that time, people have actually given the weird food a try in large numbers. As to be expected, people have really diverse opinions on whether or not the combination actually tastes good, or if it’s a large fail (guess which opinion we have).
While there is no way to permanently prevent aging, unfortunately, there are changes that we can make to our everyday lifestyles and our routines that can alter the way that you feel. You won’t feel like you’re twenty years older than you actually are – you’ll feel revived and ready to take on the rest of your years. So, what are those changes? Keep on reading to find out!
1. POSITIVITY IS KEY
Emotional health is vital to your overall health; if you urge yourself to lean towards more positive thoughts – even if it’s difficult at first – you can change so many of the surroundings for yourself. You can be more sympathetic to those around you, understanding that everyone has their own life and challenges to face. You’ll also have more energy to get out and about and achieve more physically and mentally.
It’s obvious that consuming too much fatty or sugary foods is a habit that contributes to increasing obesity rates globally. A diet that isn’t balanced paired with a couch potato lifestyle is the problem for most of the weight gain that you may be experiencing, bringing on its own issues such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
But you may be subconsciously doing the below habits that are making you gain weight without you even knowing it. They may seem like nothing, but they’re the secret enemies that are increasing your weight. Tackling these habits will help you move towards a healthy weight without making any drastic changes to your life.
1. NOT PLANNING YOUR MEALS AHEAD OF TIME
If you go shopping late or wait until your stomach is growling to choose what you’re going to eat, that decision is going to be difficult. Your brain literally doesn’t work to its full capacity if you’re hungry. So it looks for something, which will instantly make you satiated – like a cookie instead of a piece of fruit.
To avoid this, you can plan your meals ahead of time, so that you won’t have your hungry-brain thinking about it when it’s time to prepare the meal. If you do want a snack because you’re starting to feel poor from being hungry, fill up your kitchen cupboards with healthy snacks such as whole wheat pita chips and hummus dip.
Most of us do not realize the importance of physical fitness in our lives. Being physically fit doesn’t just keep you stronger and more agile, but it also works wonders on your mental toughness. It is, therefore, very important to take out at least an hour a day for exercising and gym to ensure you have a good, healthy body and mind. And while most of the people who work out in a gym focus on biceps and other body parts, it is the core that is often left behind. Leaving out core-building exercises not just puts more strain on your back and ultimately your form, but is also bad for your overall physique. So, the next time you step out on that beach, make sure you have chiseled, toned abs. We’ve included a list of four exercises that would help you reach that goal for sure. Here it goes –
HANGING LEG LIFTS
Just go to a chin-up bar and hang from it, with your hands at least shoulder-width apart and the legs lifted up in the air. You can go for arm straps if you feel your upper body isn’t strong enough to sustain the weight. After that, slowly lift your knees in such a way that your calves are at ninety degrees and your thighs are parallel to the ground. Continue holding this position for at least 2-3 seconds and then slowly lower your legs back to starting position. On your 10th rep, keep the leg-holding position for at least 10 seconds before you lower it back. Try to do three sets of these at first and once your body is stronger, you can keep adding more sets to work out your core muscles even better.
There are possibly many things that we either do (or don’t do) almost every day and we know for a fact that it is definitely not the healthiest of things to do. Not flossing your mouth before sleep? Definitely not a good thing. Forgetting to cover your mouth at the time of sneezing? Jeez! even a kid knows that’s not right. Anyway, my point is – we all are guilty of doing something or the other every day that doesn’t exactly classify as a healthy habit.
But what if I told you these are just the basic no-no’s, and that there are tons of more everyday habits that are way grosser than you actually thought they were. So, in order to inform our readers about some of those, we’ve compiled a list of 13 everyday habits you should definitely give up on, right now! Let’s check out the list without further ado.
KEEPING YOUR BAG ON THE TABLE
Keeping your bag on the table while having a meal is not only against most table manners, but is also super gross. According to research conducted by Initial Washroom Hygiene, a bag contains on an average more bacteria than a toilet does! In fact, one out of every five bags has so much harmful bacteria that it could make a perfectly healthy and normal person sick. Yes, that’s true. And if you actually think about it, your bag travels everywhere – right from the washroom, to those public trains, and every single place you go to. So, the next time you’re headed out for food, do keep the bag away for your own good!
